What we publish

WallProof publishes source-based explanations for UK readers. Our first edition contains no original instrument performance tests, site surveys, calibration certificates or expert-reviewed diagnoses. Original illustrations show concepts; they are labelled schematics and are not field photographs or measured results.

Articles follow a consistent sequence: a direct answer, conditions, an illustration or comparison, next steps, limitations, and sources with a review date. The added value is bringing task, material and measurement context into one readable guide, not claiming new experimental evidence.

How we choose sources

1. The exact manufacturer manual for model-specific modes, operating conditions, error messages and verification procedures. A product page or marketing blog does not override its manual.
2. Professional and specialist sources for investigating buildings and understanding material behaviour. We identify the author’s role and the scope of the guidance.
3. Independent observations and case accounts when they offer a useful example. Their conditions, commercial interests and missing controls remain relevant.

A page linked in another article’s bibliography is not automatically a source we have read. We cite the page or document actually consulted. Factory specifications, third-party observations and our interpretation are different types of evidence.

What a technical claim needs

Specific instrument claims identify the model and manual version or section. A relative reading does not become a material water percentage just because the display contains a number. A lack of scanner response is not proof that an area is safe to drill. Flooring acceptance limits must come from the applicable product, adhesive, substrate and test instructions; we do not publish a universal threshold.

The two downloadable CSV files are blank records. They are not sample surveys, certificates, or evidence that an instrument passed a check.
